Ashes on the Water

240Ashes on the Water is an invitation into a sensory landscape of words, movement, breath and song. A podplay/site-specific dance piece unearths the story of two women divided by culture and the waters of the Burrard Inlet. The work charts their fateful meeting ignited by the Great Vancouver Fire in 1886 and spurred on by a song’s desire to be born.
