Hiring: Producer

Application deadline March 15, 2017 5:00 PM PST

Raven Spirit Dance is hiring a Producer starting April 3, 2017.
This temporary contract for approximately 20 hours per week ending May 18, 2018. The compensation is $1,700-$2,000/month, depending on experience, plus benefits.

About Raven Spirit Dance:
Raven Spirit Dance shares stories from an Aboriginal worldview. Our medium is contemporary dance; and, we incorporate other expressions such as traditional dance, theatre, puppetry and multi-media to tell these stories.

By sharing this work on local, national and international stages, Raven Spirit Dance reaffirms the vital importance of dance to the expression of human experience and to cultural reclamation. Raven Spirit Dance aims to explore how professional artistic work is responsive and responsible to the community it is a part of and to continue to redefine dance’s place in diverse community settings. Raven Spirit is Van-couver-based yet indelibly tied to the Yukon through its projects and inspirations, as our Artistic Direc-tor, Michelle Olson is from the Tr’ondek Hwech’in First Nation.

About You:
You are a big picture thinker who loves designing and executing systems for getting things done with a team that isn’t often in the same room. You are passionate about Indigenous performance and very comfortable working in inter-cultural settings. You hold a curiosity about using digital tools to share In-digenous stories. You are as passionate about budgets and contracts as you are about dancing and art-making.
